Installing our Rock Lights?

Installing HTX Lighting's plug-and-play rock lights is a straightforward process that enhances your vehicle's visibility and aesthetics. Follow these steps to ensure a successful installation:

Tools and Materials Needed:

  • HTX Lighting Rock Light Kit (includes lights, wiring harness, and controller)
  • Basic hand tools (screwdriver, wrench set)
  • Drill with appropriate bits (if mounting requires drilling)
  • Zip ties or cable clamps
  • Protective gloves and eyewear

Step-by-Step Installation:

  1. Unpack and Inspect the Kit:

    • Ensure all components are present and free from damage.
  2. Plan the Installation:

    • Decide on the mounting locations for each rock light, typically within wheel wells, underbody, or other desired areas.
    • Consider the routing path for the wiring harness to avoid heat sources, moving parts, and sharp edges.
  3. Mount the Rock Lights:

    • Position each light in the predetermined location.
    • Secure the lights using the provided hardware. If drilling is necessary, ensure not to damage any underlying components.
  4. Route the Wiring Harness:

    • Connect the wiring harness to each rock light.
    • Run the harness along the vehicle's frame, securing it with zip ties or cable clamps.
    • Ensure the harness reaches the engine bay or designated area for the controller.
  5. Install the Controller:

    • Place the Bluetooth/App controller in a dry, accessible location.
    • Connect the wiring harness to the controller.
  6. Connect to Power:

    • Attach the controller's power leads to the vehicle's battery or an appropriate power source.
    • Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.
  7. Test the System:

    • Power on the system and use the HTX Lighting app to verify each light functions correctly.
    • Adjust settings as desired within the app.
  8. Finalize the Installation:

    • Double-check all connections and mounting points.
    • Secure any loose wiring and ensure everything is properly fastened.
